2016 Adams Annual Seminar Will Take Place On Monday 11th July

On Monday, July 11, in a ceremony at the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities in the context of its annual Adams Seminar, eight exceptional doctoral students, half of them women, will be awarded the prestigious Adams Fellowships of the Israel Academy of Sciences. Each will be granted over $100,000 for four years of doctoral studies ($30,000/year), in addition to a full exemption from tuition. This year the ceremony’s guest speaker will be Prof. Ruth Arnon, past President of the Academy, who will lecture on “The Development of Copaxone – From Lab Bench to Sickbed and Back”. The fellowships will be awarded in the name of Mr. Marcel Adams by his daughter and son, Linda Adams of Jerusalem and Sylvan Adams, who recently immigrated to Israel from Canada with his wife Margaret and now lives in Tel-Aviv.
