Moshe Mishali is an electrical engineer and chip architect at EZchip Technologies. He is primarily interested in sampling theory, compressed sensing information theory and analog circuits.

Moshe received his Ph.D. from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2011. His dissertation, “Sampling and Processing of Structured Signals at Sub Nyquist Rates,” written under the supervision of Prof. Yonina Eldar, focused on analog to digital conversion (ADC). Traditionally ADC is performed at a high rate, so that a dense set of digital numbers represent the analog waveform with sufficient accuracy. The required ADC rate was derived by Harry Nyquest, who determined that it needs to exceed twice the highest possible frequency of the input. Moshe’s research was aimed at sampling analog signals below the rate defined by Nyquist. This included theoretical research, design involving practical constraints as well as actual hardware implementation.

In addition to receiving his Ph.D. at the Technion, Moshe was also the project engineer in the Technion’s Signal Processing Laboratory, Communication Laboratory and High-Speed Digital Signal Laboratory.

Moshe graduated summa cum laude from the Technion with a BSc in electrical engineering. His work has been published in various scientific journals, including the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, IET Circuits, Devices & Systems and IEEE Transactions on Information Theory.
