Field Trips

Adams Fellows are given the opportunity to interact with one another and to form a small science community of their own through initiatives such as invited lectures by renowned scientist and periodic sminars and conferences.  In 2012, Annual Field Trips were added to the program, providing a meaningful contribution towards this purpose. The first field trip included a guided tour of the archaeological excavations at Beit Shean and Beit Alfa, lead by Academy Member and Archaeologist Professor Yoram Tsafrir.   The second field trip in January 2012 induded a guided tour of the Soreq Nuclear Research Center in Yavneh as well as a lecture on the Saraf and Medical Nuclear Research.  After lunch in Rehovot, the Fellows participated in  a guided tour of the Ayalon Institute at Givat Hakibbutzim in Rehovot.
