Institution of PhD:
Tel Aviv University
Academic Discipline of PhD:
Biochemistry
PhD Advisor/s:
Dr. Rotem Rubinstein
Dissertation Topic:
Predicting Protein–Protein Interactions and Complex Formation

Nadir Boni is a PhD student in Biochemistry at Tel Aviv University’s School of Neurobiology, Biochemistry, and Biophysics, working under the supervision of Dr. Rotem Rubinstein. His research focuses on implementing bioinformatic tools to predict protein–protein interactions and model the formation of protein complexes. This work aims to enhance the prediction of cell receptor interactions by utilizing machine learning algorithms.

Nadir holds an MSc in Mathematical Biology (summa cum laude) and a BSc in Chemistry and Biology (magna cum laude), both from Tel Aviv University. His academic achievements have earned him multiple research and teaching awards. He has published research on the interactions of clustered protocadherins and their role in mediating cell–cell adhesion, contributing to our understanding of neuronal self-recognition.

A resident of Petah Tiqwa, Nadir has been fascinated by the natural sciences from a young age and maintains a passion for photography. His current interests focus on advancing our understanding of molecular biology, particularly through innovative bioinformatic tools. He has presented his work at numerous international conferences.
