Yeela Persky Vile is a Ph.D. candidate, researching in the field of chemistry and renewable energy. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Bar-Ilan University, where she graduated summa cum laude. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a research assistant and participated in various volunteer activities. She then pursued a Master's degree, graduating magna cum laude under the supervision of Prof. Lior Elbaz, in whose laboratory she worked on developing new, innovative catalysts for fuel cells.

Currently, Persky Vile is working on her Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Menny Shalom at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Her research focuses on developing advanced metal oxides electrodes for a wide range of electrochemical and photoelectrochemical applications. In her work, she uses innovative, cost-effective, and green synthesis methods that save expensive raw materials, significantly reduce production time, and lower the energy consumption required for synthesis.

Persky Vile chose to study chemistry in order to understand the world scientifically and develop practical solutions to environmental challenges, such as renewable energy sources. She lives in Beer-Sheva with her husband Nisan and their baby daughter Kedem.
